UPDATE: Basketball & Soccer Attendance Policy

Dear Parents and Fans,

In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order limiting the seating capacity to 25%, the Hattiesburg Public School District will change its ticket sales procedure for the 2020-2021 school year. In addition, due to COVID-19, we have suspended free admittance for the City of Hattiesburg employees and Military personnel for the 2020-2021 school year. The procedure changes are as follows:

BASKETBALL
● Due to COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines ticket availability will be limited to
two tickets per participant for all games. This includes all players, managers, and
cheerleaders. All tickets for Hattiesburg High School and NR Burger Middle School team
members must be purchased in advance by each player.
● The athletic office will have rosters for each VISITING team. Each participant’s name
will be marked off after the purchase of their two tickets by his/her parent/guardian.
● No HPSD Employees will be allowed free admittance to the games.
● Reserved Season Tickets and All sport passes are suspended for the 2020 Season.

SOCCER
● Social distancing guidelines ticket availability will be limited to two tickets per
participant for all games. On a home game day, two tickets per participant (players &
managers) will be available for purchase at the gate. Each participant’s name will be
marked off after the purchase of the tickets.
● Visiting teams must provide a roster and parents/guardians of the visiting participants
will be allowed to purchase two tickets per participant at the gate. There will be a NO
MASK NO ENTRY policy at all MHSAA sanctioned events.
● No HPSD Employees will be allowed free admittance to the games.
● A mask must be worn at all times while inside the gym. Spectators must adhere to
all social distancing guidelines at all times. Only MHSAA State Passes will be
accepted. No other passes will be allowed. We appreciate your understanding and
cooperation during these unprecedented times.

Sincerely,
Tony Vance, Athletic Director
