2020-2021 Hattiesburg High School Volleyball Summer Workouts


  1. All willing athletes will report beginning June 29, 2020 to the front entrance of Watkins Gymnasium at 7:45am.
  2. Workout time will be from 8:00 am until 9:00 am. 
  3. Workouts will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. 
  4. Athletes will be screened for COVID 19 symptoms of fever, coughing, and shortness of breath through a series of questions, and temperature will be checked daily upon arrival. 
  5. If a player shows any symptoms, the player will immediately be isolated from the rest of the group and parents will be notified for pick up.
  6. Upon passing screening, each athlete will be directed to a specific outdoor location to adhere to the 20 person outdoor guidelines. 
  7. If an indoor facility will be used, players will utilize wall mounted hand sanitizer immediately upon entrance to the gym floor.
  8. Volleyballs will be numbered and each player will be assigned a volleyball and a station for individual skill work. (Players will not be allowed to share or retrieve balls for other players)
  9. Each player must wear workout clothes from home and carry them home each day to be washed at home. 
  10. Each player must bring a bottle of water or powerade to the workout. There will be no sharing of water or Powerade. There will be no communal water stations. 
  11. Players will be dismissed at 9:00am. Students will not be allowed to gather and loiter after workouts. (Supervised by a coach)
  12. We will adhere to all executive orders both state and local and MHSAA and district guidelines. As they are updated, this plan may change.
