The Hattiesburg High School Forensic Department and Sacred Heart Catholic School are pleased to co-host the 31st Hub City Classic Speech and Debate Tournament.  Consider this your special invitation to attend Friday and Saturday, January 31 and February 1, 2020, on the Hattiesburg High School Campus in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

The Classic is proud to be sponsored by the City of Hattiesburg Tourism Commission.

Hattiesburg High and Sacred Heart Catholic School are proud to announce that the Hub City Classic is a Tournament of Champions bid school for the National Individual Events Championships to be held in Houston, Texas,  on the campus of J. Frank Dobie High School,  May 8-10, 2020. Please visit www.nietoc.com for additional information.

The Classic supports the mission and community outreach of the National Catholic Forensic League.  This year, the NCFL has adopted Elyssa's Mission which was founded in 2006 and is a non-profit organization that provides resources to support at-risk teens and prevent suicide.  We encourage schools to consider making a contribution to the Biloxi Catholic Forensic League in support of this outreach which will take place in May of 2020 in Chicago, Illinois, the future site of the Grand National Championships of the NCFL.  The Classic will be accepting donations at registration and in the Judges and Student Lounges. Information concerning this outreach can be found at www.elssasmission.org.

The Classic has hosted schools from California, Kentucky, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Louisiana over the past few years. Students should expect quality competition in a supportive environment.

The Hub City Classic will offer Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate- due to the date of the tournament, the JANUARY topic will be debated in Public Forum Debate at the Classic, Policy Debate, Congressional Debate, and the following Individual Events:
