Middle College
The goal of the Hattiesburg High School Middle College (HHSMC) admissions process is to select and admit a diverse group of academically capable students who have a genuine interest in earning a high school diploma.
This unique and rigorous program focuses on earning both a diploma along with an associate’s degree. Each application and accompanying documentation will be reviewed by the admissions team.
Please remember that all HHSMC students must meet the following criteria:
● Complete 14 high school credits by the end of 10th grade
● Maintain a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA
● Achieve qualifying ACT sub-scores (17 in English and 19 in Math)
● Pass all subject-area tests required for graduation (English II, Algebra I, Biology, U.S. History*)
*U.S. History is an 11-grade class: Middle College students will take this class
and the subject-area test during the junior year
