A Welcome Message From Your Librarian
Greetings, Tigers!
2022 is the tenth year in which I have had the privilege of serving as your Librarian at Hattiesburg High School. This year we are making some exciting changes to our collection. For example, to better serve our ELL students, we have added many new fiction and non-fiction titles in Spanish to our collection. These books are available in a wide variety of reading levels and include many of today's top titles.
Dr. Walter Mosely (Hattiesburg High Class of 1956) has made a very generous donation of books from his personal library, and art books from the library of his late son, New York artist Walter Mosely, Jr..These books are currently being inventoried and will be available for circulation soon!

The Library is currently making plans to establish a fixed maker space that will provide opportunities for teachers and students to design and create together. Makerspaces encourage innovation through hands-on experimentation, and participants are encouraged to be creative and apply personalized learning strategies. Activities will be available for students from all grades and ability levels, and multicultural learning will be encouraged and celebrated.
